(reported by: Xiaoyong Zhao and Qiyu Pan) Recently, thirty-five 2008 alumni of the Department of Optoelectronics Technology and Science, College of Electrotonic Information and Optical Engineering, returned to the school on the 10th anniversary of their graduation to recollect the years of study. Bo Liu, deputy dean of the college, attended relevant activities.
Bo Liu warmly welcomed the alumni and introduced the overall development of the college. He said that the development of the college would not have been achieved without the full support of the alumni. He hoped that alumni would continue caring about and supporting the development of the college as well as giving assistance in the discipline construction.
Ten years ago, we saw you energetic young at Nankai, and ten years later, you still hold your original aspiration and recall the past. At Balitai campus, the alumni came to the places where they ever lived and studied to take a group photo and visited the campus. Willows by the Horseshoe Lake carry the profound friendship of the schoolmates. The bells beside Dazhong road are so melodious, inheriting the Nankai spirit. Everyone gathered here to recall the years of inspiring youth and share the career experiences. After visiting the library of Jinnan campus and the College of Electronic Information and Optical Engineering, the alumni highly praised the great changes of their Alma Mater in recent years. They were even more excited by the steady development and achievements of the college. They said that they would do their best to be fair and enterprising in their respective posts, carry forward the Nankai motto of "fair and energy, changing with each passing day", and contribute to the development of their Alma Mater as well as the development of the college.
The alumni were invited to participate in the 2016 "Gongneng" quality evaluation class meeting of the Department of Optoelectronic Technology and Science to exchange and discuss with students on professional development, career planning and other issues. They encouraged the students present to cherish learning opportunities, plan for the future, improve their personal abilities and inherit the Nankai spirit.
It is reported that the College of Electrotonic Information and Optical Engineering attaches great importance to the affairs of alumni, keeps close contact with alumni, integrates alumni resources, and feeds back the suggestions and opinions of alumni, so that the majority of alumni can timely understand the recent development of the college and we could work together with alumni to explore new development of the college.
