December 1st, the delegation of Vice CEO and global head of R&D Management of Elsevier, Holland, Said Taha visited Nankai University. Vice President Yan Chunhua met with the guests. Heads of Department for Strategic Development and Office for International Academic Exchanges attended the meeting.
Yan Chunhua extended warm welcome to the guests and introduced the general situation of the university. He pointed out that Nankai University had maintained sound communications with Elsevier and wished to carry on the collaboration on R&D management, data analysis, and information resource. He also expected to receive more advice from the experts of Elsevier and provide support for the university’s “Double-First Class” Construction.
Elsevier, based in Amsterdam Holland, is an information and analytics company and one of the world's major providers of scientific, technical, and medical information. It was established in 1880 as a publishing company. In terms of academic publication, the company has published more than 2500 high-quality journals. Approximately 16 percent of academic achievements have been published on the journals of Elsevier.
